Masdar commemorates UAE Flag Day
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; November 2, 2017 – Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, commemorated UAE Flag Day today.
The annual celebration marks the anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan becoming President of the United Arab Emirates in 2004, and is an occasion for the UAE people to reaffirm their national allegiance.
"This special day symbolises the unity of the United Arab Emirates, and is an occasion to pay tribute to the legacy of Sheikh Zayed, the founding father of our nation, and the achievements of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed and the UAE leadership,” said Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar.
The CEO of Masdar led a formal flag raising ceremony in the grounds of Masdar City attended by company employees, tenants of the city and local schoolchildren.
Eighty boys and girls from Al Izza Primary School in Abu Dhabi recited a pledge to the flag and sang the national anthem during the ceremony.

The company serves as a link between today’s fossil fuel economy and the energy economy of the future.
